So I took pictures of all the cousins today for our annual Christmas pic. We usually go to JCPenneys or Picture People, but it always ends up being so chaotic, that the kids are spent by the time it's picture time. So we tried something a little different this year. The kids sure had fun in those leaves, can you tell?

Angel to the rescue
So after LeDoux was no longer with us, Eric was having a hard time adjusting, as we all were. He just didn't see how he could go on without a dog in the family. So Angel to the rescue. Angel is the name of our now 9 week old Golden Retriever. She is so cute, and she is a total puppy. She likes to chew on everything and go crazy after she wakes up from a nap. It's been so long since we had a puppy, I must admit, I forgot how difficult they are. She is like having another baby around, only she is mobile, and we have to watch her every move. But also just like children, she will grow up oh so very fast, so we must treasure her each and every day.
RIP LeDoux
So many of you know that we had a wonderful Golden Retriever named LeDoux. Eric and I got LeDoux shortly after we were married. He would have been 11 in April. He got sick recently and went downhill very fast and he had to be put to sleep. We buried him at my brother's house so that we can always go and visit him. We will miss him very much.

Intermediate
So Ty made intermediate right before we left for our cruise. That means he got 8 first place wins, and he did this in less than 3 months. His first experience in the intermediate class was not the greatest, he crashed twice and he crashed pretty hard. Nevertheless each time he got back on his bike and finished the race. So this weekend he got to race in Napa and Roseville both in an intermediate class. He got 3rd place in Napa and then in Roseville he actually got bumped up to the 9 I class so he didn't make his main, but he was right on their tails the entire race. He improves every day that he is at the track. He has fun and he tries his best each and every time, and that is all we ask of him. He is an amazing little boy.
First Place
One week later
So a week after we get back from Mexico, Ty gets this strange rash on both legs, his stomach and his arm. So I'm kinds freaking out, thinking is he getting the chicken pox or did he get some sort of virus while we were traveling? I wasn't sure so by Friday morning it wasn't getting any better so off we went to see the doctor. Upon first glance the doctor thought, that it might be chicken pox, but since he had been vaccinated, the chances were pretty slim, so the doc went off to research the possibility that the jellyfish sting and this rash were related. I had a revelation that morning about the fact that the rash was the worst on the knee that he got stung on. So after doing a little research the doctor concluded that this was most likely a reaction to the jellyfish sting and most likely NOT chicken pox. He advised us to keep him home from school for the day just in case it was chicken pox. So here are the pics of the lovely rash that followed the sting.
