Intermediate

So Ty made intermediate right before we left for our cruise. That means he got 8 first place wins, and he did this in less than 3 months. His first experience in the intermediate class was not the greatest, he crashed twice and he crashed pretty hard. Nevertheless each time he got back on his bike and finished the race. So this weekend he got to race in Napa and Roseville both in an intermediate class. He got 3rd place in Napa and then in Roseville he actually got bumped up to the 9 I class so he didn't make his main, but he was right on their tails the entire race. He improves every day that he is at the track. He has fun and he tries his best each and every time, and that is all we ask of him. He is an amazing little boy.

First Place

McKenna took home her first, 1st place trophy last night in Roseville. She worked so hard, she made it to the main in the first Moto and then in her main, she started out of the gate, and immediately was in first place and she never gave up her position. She raced against four boys that were all 5 years old, and she beat them!! Everyone around us was so proud of her, she had people she didn't even know coming up to her and giving her hugs and high fives for her job well done. Go McKenna!!!

One week later

So a week after we get back from Mexico, Ty gets this strange rash on both legs, his stomach and his arm. So I'm kinds freaking out, thinking is he getting the chicken pox or did he get some sort of virus while we were traveling? I wasn't sure so by Friday morning it wasn't getting any better so off we went to see the doctor. Upon first glance the doctor thought, that it might be chicken pox, but since he had been vaccinated, the chances were pretty slim, so the doc went off to research the possibility that the jellyfish sting and this rash were related. I had a revelation that morning about the fact that the rash was the worst on the knee that he got stung on. So after doing a little research the doctor concluded that this was most likely a reaction to the jellyfish sting and most likely NOT chicken pox. He advised us to keep him home from school for the day just in case it was chicken pox. So here are the pics of the lovely rash that followed the sting.

Jellyfish

So during our stop in Cabo, Ty got stung by a Jellyfish. He was pretty upset when it happened so we went to the people working at the Sand Bar where we were eating to ask them for some help. They fetched some white vinegar real quick and poured that onto where Ty got stung. Our other option was to pee on it, and we weren't real sure about that whole idea. So here is what his knee looked like after a few minutes.

Needless to say, Ty is not jumping at the chance to go snorkeling again. That jellyfish sent him the message to stay out of his territory.

Ty and McKenna in Mazatlan

So we got back from our cruise to Mexico, a week ago Saturday, and boy was it a good time. We spent time in the sun, just relaxing and making memories. We all came home with an amazing tan, and tons of pictures to help us remember that week for a long time. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. The water there is amazing, it was so neat to see the kids play in an ocean that wasn't ice cold. They played for hours at the beach. It was a fantastic vacation, too bad it went by so fast.
