Ty's Birthday

So Ty turned nine on February 21st and all he wanted to do that day was go bike racing. Turned out to be a pretty nasty night weather wise, so he didn't get to race anything but the main. He still had fun despite the rain. We had a gt together the night before at my mom's house to celebrate Ty and Hailey's birthday since they were both born on the same day, one year apart. It was a lot of fun getting the entire family together. The kids are growing up so fast.

Nine is Nonsense

Well today my baby boy turned nine. I truly can't believe that it was nine years ago that our little boy Ty entered this world. He has been such a joy and a pleasure to have in our family. We couldn't imagine our life without Ty. Ty we love you and want to wish you a very Happy Birthday!!

Back on Track

Well the rain subsided for a few days, enough for the kids to get back to the track. They were so happy to get back to riding. We were happy to get back to the track as well. Our entire family goes through racing withdrawal when we miss a few weekends.

McKenna got first place last weekend in Napa, taking the lead over 4 boys.

Ty is doing great in the Intermediate class. He is riding with clips now and this has greatly improved his speed. He has managed to shave 10 seconds off his track time in just a few short weeks.

T-ball time

McKenna is starting a new adventure in her life. T-Ball!! She is so excited and is all decked out with a new pink glove, pink bat, pink bat bag, pink batting helmet and adorable pink and black cleats. Every baseball team needs to have a little pink in it don't you think. She is so excited and we can't wait to see what team she will be on.
She attended a t-ball clinic a few weeks ago, and is starting to learn the fundamentals. She is a great hitter and can throw a ball like nobodies business. Now we just need to work on the whole catching thing. That's a lot harder than you think.

Way to go Ty

So Ty had try outs a few weekends ago for little league. We decided to make the move and try out for minors this year. Well he did awesome, and got drafted. We are so proud of him, and the coaches were very impressed. I hit all of his balls and even managed to bunt the two balls that they asked. By the way, they never taught bunting in machine pitch, so Dad had the job of explaining it to Ty about 10 minutes before tryouts.
We got the phone call Wednesday night to let us know that Ty got drafted onto the minor team the Pirates. We even got the coach we wanted! We are so excited for baseball season to start. We will be posting pics, as soon as practice starts.

Christmas at the Moak House

Christmas at the Moaks was wonderful as usual. Ty and McKenna made out like bandits. Ty got clips for his bike and was so surprised and excited. McKenna got the usual girlie stuff, clothes, Hannah Montana stuff and all pink gear for t-ball. Oh yeah and did I forget to mention what time it was when they woke up on Christmas morning........4:57am. Yeah that's right, we were up and had all our presents open before most of you were even rolling out of bed. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and will have a wonderful and prosperous new year in 2009.

Christmas Eve

So it's been a while since I posted, sorry for the few of you that check this blog regularly, we've just been really busy around here. Nothing specific, just never had enough time to sit at the computer and put words to all these pics I've been taking. So here are some pictures from Christmas Eve at my brother Derek's house. We go there every year for a fun night of food and presents. This is the night where all of us give out gifts to the nieces and nephews. It is so much fun and we look forward to it each and every year.

Sushi Night

So Buck and Jenn are sushi lovers. Especially Bucky, so after much arm twisting, Eric and I and the kids decided to go to there house for a Sushi night. Now we're talking homemade sushi here, not your store bought stuff. All fresh ingredients and rolled right there in the Moak kitchen. The rolls turned out beautifully. Ty was not willing to even try a single bite, so he enjoyed a chicken and apple sausage with rice, while McKenna thought, what the heck I'll try some sushi. Can you guess what her opinion was of it?

Onky Bonky

So Uncle Bucky is now the proud Uncle of one more niece. Miss Angel. She seemed pretty comfy cozy sleeping there on his chest. Just don't let Roxy fond out......there's nothing worse than dog jealousy.

Our new Dishwasher

So we got a new dish washer, I bet she's cuter than your dishwasher. Haha.

McKenna Moak aka Hannah Montana

So McKenna turned 5 on December 10th, and what funner way to celebrate than a Hannah Montana Party. Complete with a sparkly, sequined outfit, a way cool Hannah Montana Guitar cake, and all the friends and family a star could ask for. We rocked the afternoon away with food, pinatas, family, and good times. Happy Birthday McKenna.

Sweet Love

McKenna has always been known as our little Angel, but now we actually have an Angel. Just look at the two of them. McKenna really loves our new addition to the family, sometimes a little too much. Angel just has to tell her to back off in puppy language. It's a learning experience for the entire family. We are so glad to have Angel in our home.

Teddy Bear Tea

My mom, McKenna and I went to the Camelia Tea Room for their annual Teddy Bear Tea last Sunday. This was mine and McKenna's first time ever to a place like this. As you can see McKenna was totally in her element. She had such a wonderful time, and she was such a little lady. She looked beautiful, for those of you that went to Buck and Jenn's wedding, do you recognize the dress??
