Back on Track

Well the rain subsided for a few days, enough for the kids to get back to the track. They were so happy to get back to riding. We were happy to get back to the track as well. Our entire family goes through racing withdrawal when we miss a few weekends.

McKenna got first place last weekend in Napa, taking the lead over 4 boys.

Ty is doing great in the Intermediate class. He is riding with clips now and this has greatly improved his speed. He has managed to shave 10 seconds off his track time in just a few short weeks.

Intermediate

So Ty made intermediate right before we left for our cruise. That means he got 8 first place wins, and he did this in less than 3 months. His first experience in the intermediate class was not the greatest, he crashed twice and he crashed pretty hard. Nevertheless each time he got back on his bike and finished the race. So this weekend he got to race in Napa and Roseville both in an intermediate class. He got 3rd place in Napa and then in Roseville he actually got bumped up to the 9 I class so he didn't make his main, but he was right on their tails the entire race. He improves every day that he is at the track. He has fun and he tries his best each and every time, and that is all we ask of him. He is an amazing little boy.

First Place

McKenna took home her first, 1st place trophy last night in Roseville. She worked so hard, she made it to the main in the first Moto and then in her main, she started out of the gate, and immediately was in first place and she never gave up her position. She raced against four boys that were all 5 years old, and she beat them!! Everyone around us was so proud of her, she had people she didn't even know coming up to her and giving her hugs and high fives for her job well done. Go McKenna!!!

Rad Racing - Look out Cru Jones!

Got to take a little break for some crackers.
These are pretty good, you sure can work up an appetite riding around this track.
So McKenna got the racing bug too. She is so passionate about racing, it's just adorable. She is usually the only girl in her 5 and under class, and often one of the only four year olds. She makes us so proud and she is truly a joy to watch out on the track. She has only been racing for about 6 weeks, and already has 5 trophies. She improves every time she goes to the track. Way to go McKenna!

Race Day

Ok Riders, lets set 'em up.
Riders Ready
Watch the light

So Ty got his final 1st place trophy as a novice rider today. He moves up to the intermediate class now. He made it to intermediate in less than 3 months. That's 8 first place finishes in less than 12 weeks. Way to go Ty. We are so proud of him.
